  1. Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.

They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

  2. Don't use a knife or a wrench! You'll do yourself untold damage! Take your CD player apart and use the laser from inside the mechanism instead. Just zap it into your eyes and feel the burn.

Seriously, yes, it is possible for your eyesight to degrade after surgery, but it may not be for many decades. If your prescription has not changed for at least two years, your eyes are pretty stable and should not change. If, however, your eyesight is rapidly degrading, then the surgery will fix it now, but the rate of degradation may continue. If you are young and your eyesight is changing, wait a few years for it to settle before surgery.

Then again, laser eye surgery is sufficiently new technology that there aren't any old folks around who had it done when they were young, so who knows what will happen when you get old?!

  3. laser correction will only correct your vision now

as you get older your eyes may need correction with glasses. i dont think it is a permanent solution only a solution at this moment in time. i have thought of having it done but this fact puts me off. every 2 years my glasses need adjusting whos to say that if i have the laser correction now - that in 2 years time i will be back to wearing glasses again.

  4. ...That fist post about the wrench or whatever, that's just disgusting.... >.<

I'm not sure on this but once you get the correction, I think your eyes can get worse with time. I'm talking about twenty years or so, dont worry. Just as when you were growing up, your eyes got worse, the same thing will probably happen afterwards too.

(Lucky, I wanna get that so badly! T.T  lol)

    Good luck and goodbye! ^^

  5. yes

The laser reshapes the corneal tissue of your eye: if it is too steep, you are short sighted, if its too flat, you are long sighted.  If the surgeon doesnt reshape your corneal tissue properly then you can be left with a presciption, which may leave you long or short sighted.  A reputable company will offer an enhancement, which will fine tune any tissue left.

In the long run, if you are genetically predetermined to have an increase in corneal tissue growth, thus have a prescription grow back, then Laser surgery wont stop this happening.  Again, a reputable provider will want proof that your prescription is stable, thus they calculate the probability of this happening.

When your older you will still need reading glasses aswell, as the muscles inside your eye get weaker and the lens inside gets more rigid.

  6. do it your self its alot cheaper and works great just use a knife and/or  a wrench. good luck

  7. Yes, your eyes will go through the normal changes that they would have anyway. The surgery does not keep your eyes from changing and taking their normal course. So, they will change just like they were going to in the first place, with or without laser surgery.
