  1. they will definately test your skills and fitness. basically work hard on ur weaknesses and be honest to urself about ur weaknesses. fitness is always key for any forward as you are asked to hit ruck after ruck. the more rucks u can hit the better forward u are. put urself out there dont wait for something to happen, go and make something happen, create opportunities for other players in ur team, suport and back up others, also cover in defence, a forward going back to make a try saving tackle always says a lot about a players attitude and commitment. find out who the good backs are in ur trial team and support them when they have the ball as they could anytime make a break, the easiest way to score a try is by supporting those that always create them. the coach is always gonna look at who is gonna help him win games. Watch Richie McCaw, did u notice the difference he made in the All Blacks in the weekend compared to when he wasnt there the week b4. his workrate is the difference.

    goodluck

  2. It all depends on whether you play rugby league or rugby union. I don't really know much about rugby union as i am a big rugby league fan. You say that you are a forward so you need to have good ball handling skills, you need to be a good tackler and your aim is to be running hard at your opposition, gaining yards for your team.

  3. They will test you out in trials both in exercises and in game time. The important thing in game time is that you must treat it as a normal game. Don't try to do too much.

On thr bright side (or down side if your an old flanker) rucking is a thing of the past.
