  1. We use Tums.  We hold Tums up against the sore and it disolves the canker sore - I don't know if you will be able to put one where your sore is.

Anyway, yes mix the salt with warm water and gargle.

  2. yeah. A tbsp of salt, and a cup of warm water. Also, mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and water and gargle (don't swallow!) that.

  3. Yes, mix regular table salt with hot water, stir and then gargle.  Also, if it doesn't get any better there is some medicine (forgot it's name) that goes on canker sores and it makes them go away faster. You have to have a prescription to get it; so if it doesn't get better you can ask your dentist to write you a prescription for it.

  4. yes

put some salt in hot water and then gargle it and make sure not to swallow

  5. Yes, just get some hot water from the tap and pour in a few tablespoons of salt, gargle and spit.  Don't swallow it.  I think it's very nasty.  My son constantly had mouth ulcers and if you look up sodium lauryl sulfate, an ingredient in almost every brand of toothpaste, you will find that people who are prone to mouth ulcers are sensitive to this product.  I started buying my son Rembrandt for Canker Sores (now called for Extra Gentle) and he rarely gets the sores, and if he does, they go away much more quickly.  I don't know why dentists aren't shouting this from the roof tops, because it is a real find, IMO.

  6. yeah probaably hot water with some salt mixed in...

try that out if it doesnt work for you

you can pick up some sterisol form your local drugstore. tis an antibacterial mouthwash thatll kill the excess bacteria in your mouth which are causing the canker sores. it works very well. use it after you brush when your done eating and then dont eat/drink for another 30-60 mins.

as soon as you use it, it helps to numb the area so that it relieves some of the pain.
