  1. One could argue that Bid Light Lime isn't fit for human consumption when fresh...but I digress.

Beer doesn't go bad. It may develop off flavors and be unpleasant, but it doesn't go bad. Bad being defined as harmful or poisonous.

Your average lager (Bud Light Lime is a lager) is "good" for roughly 6 months before it starts to loose flavor. It will remain drinkable for decades...but after about 12 months you probably don't want to.

BTW, I collect and age beer...I've got between 200 and 300 individual bottles in various stages of aging at home right now. I'm not sure of the exact amount...I've been drinking, but I haven't been resupplying lately.

PS. Skunking is caused by light breaking down hops oils, not letting a cold beer get warm.

  2. go ahead and drink them

beer processed as much as Bud Lime can nealy outlive a cockroach during times of nuclear fallout.

  3. beer is perishable if it is coors or  another american lager it can go bad within 6 months. stronger ales where actually invented and fortified to survive long times on ships when water wasn't safe to drink. Indian Pale Ale is named for the long trips made by imperialistic Britons who needed a beer to survive the long trip. The name was given to ensure they were given the correct product. most ales have a shelf life of 1 to 2 years. most Lagers are only around 6 month to a year. drink up my friend there is only one way to tell. if it is bad it will have a stale taste and wet cardboard mildew smell

  4. dont they have a born on date or best by date?

if they were not chilled and they stored warm they should be ok but if they were cold at some point just throw them out

  5. Na

  6. Well I don't believe that beer can go "bad" like poison you or any thing. But it does taste "skunky" after that amount of time with out being refrigerated. Skunky is just a term that probably some college guy made up to say his beer tasted and smelled bad. But some people out there still drink it and are completley fine .

  7. if they did go bad id still drink them.

  8. It depends on temperature and light.  Both of these can make a beer go bad.  If the beer was between 60-80 degrees and kept in the dark, then chill them and they should be alright.  They certainly won't hurt you to drink.  No known pathogens for humans can live in beer.  Bad beer will just taste bad, but it won't hurt you.

  9. Flavored beer such as Bud Light Lime will taste about the same as it would normally. It'll be as gross as the day it came out of the factory. It's perfectly drinkable, though, as long as you can handle the fake lime flavor and general skunkiness.

  10. If the cap  is rusty I would not drink it. I had bottles in my dorm for over a year and the beer was still good. As we ran out of beer my friends would eye the bottles in the shelf. Good luck

  11. If they were cold when you stashed them, I'd pitch them in the trash. Of course if you like that lime beer, you might not know the difference.
