I randomly have them, and its like i'm awake, because i can see my room, but if i wake up, i find it really hard to REALLY wake up, like i feel really sleepy and i cant even sit up. They're mostly really scary, the last time i felt this hand around my neck. I'm really worried because i dont like sleeping because of them. What could it be? It feels so real and it makes me really upset.

  1. well im sorry icouldnt find alot of things to go with the dream.

Hand-if your washing your hands, you may feel quilty about something. If your working with your hands, you may be trying to solve a problem or use skills you don’t know you have. To have ones hands tied or bound is a negative symbol that something has you symbolically feeling restricted.

Neck- since it connects the head with the heart the neck may symbolize uncertainty about which to use- emotions or logic to solve a problem.

House-the various rooms of a house represent the various levels of your psychological and emotional state. Your spiritual development and progress is represented

In the hightest room- the attic. If the attic is comfortable you may have reached a new level of spiritual awareness. If the attic is unfinished or need or repair, your spiritual state needs attention. Your unconscious mind is represented by the lowest room in a house. It may mean that something your repressing or ignoring is trying to come into your consciousness (probably the abuse?) can also signify that you should follow your instincts. The living room and bedroom often represent your conscious life and attitudes.

  2. This type of dreaming phenomena is labeled as sleep paralysis. As long as it does not become a recurrent experience, with few days between every occurrence, or does not keep you in your mind (Coma), its a normal function. During REM sleep, a chemical is released from Central Nervous system, that paralyzes the entire body. It is nothing to be afraid of, and it is actually a good thing to have. If none of us did, we would have more sleep walkers, and a lot more accidents.

Waking up while your body is still paralyzed, just means a couple chemicals are taking longer than they should in giving the rest of your brain full movement.

Your consciousness is the first to to awaken. Having zero senses to gain awareness from, it may coordinate with your the rest of your brains awakening, and give you a full body, experience.

I'm not really sure how your memory is able to make you think you are lying in bed, and neither are scientists.

What I do know is that you should not have fear. That arm around your neck was just the feeling your brain manifested before your body gained its momentum back.
