Ive heard i can use a flash disk to add ram,is there a way to improve ram without taking the pc apart?

i have hp pavillion 3370.uk-athlon 64x2-2gb ram-350hard drive-2.6ghz.

  1. ok if you have windows vista it comes with something really cool that allows you to use a flash drive as a type of RAM all you do is connect the flash drive to an available usb port the more memory the better, then wait for the autoplay screen to pop up and it will say somewhere on there something about windows ready boost click on that and follow the on-screen instructions and you should be able to have a reasonable amount of RAM without have taken the PC apart


  2. it doesnt technically add ram.  The process is called  ReadyBoost, and all it really does is act like a cross between system cache and a page file which is faster then retrieving from a hard drive.  You can read more about it here.

      To use it you simply plug in a usb flash drive and windows will pop up a message asking what you want to do.  Scroll down through the options and select use this device to speed up my computer (readyboost).
