  1. actually bboard the g10 is the newer model with better technology and the rapture is the old model

  2. There are several differences:

According to the 1st source below Ping engineers have fine-tuned the amount of offset in the long irons which helps make them super forgiving whilst reducing offset in the short irons to increase control.

2nd is the metal:  Rapture Iron relies on strategic use of titanium, steel and tungsten to create a high-performance, multi-metal iron.

3rd:  G10's, according to Ping website, are engineered with extreme low toe weighting to increase the moment-of-inertia for added forgiveness and consistency. The large, perimeter-weighted head features a new cavity shape and wider sole.

The center of gravity is positioned away from the face and low in the club head to promote higher launching, lower spinning shots. Also a Custom Tuning Port (CTP) to stabilized the hitting area to produce consistent ball velocity across the entire club face <distance the same no matter where you hit it on the face> and an insert to help control vibration for a solid feel.

Moment of Inertia is designed to reduce twisting to increase assist in straigtening shots.  G10's are designed to be forgiving in a different way than the mult-metal construction of the Rapture.

There is also the looks and how they put the clubs together.

It's all about how much you want to spend.  Get what you want by fitting or go inexpensive and buy last years model.  Get fitted is the key! Ping fittings are very precise and adjustments can be made later.

  3. The G10 is last years model and the Rapture is this years model.  If you can't really tell a difference you should'nt spend the extra money.
