he suggested that everyone who drives should boycot the 2 largest fuel suppliers b.p and shell, simply dont buy their fuel, stay with tesco, asda etc,if enough of us do this, they will have to reduce the price of fuel, therefore, others will follow suit!

i suppose it sounds obvious really, but he's sure if ENOUGH people get the message it will work.

what do you all think,i wouldnt mind fuel coming down to say 60p per litre again!!

  1. haha yeah right.  This nonsense will never work.  They should require everyone to take an economics course in school.

  2. Every body would like the price of fuel go down,

I have received a similar E Mail about ten years ago.

I have done my bit .Everybody can see the results

  3. this is a bad idea, and it won't work...

  4. They call it "Supply and demand".... I call it a rip off!.... Where have the 'Fuel Protestors' gone this time... @0.959p PER LITRE.... Someone has 'gagged' them. The last time there was a fuel protest... it was only 82p a litre... very strange indeed!. It takes over £350 to fill up a lorry fuel tank and the average mileage per gallon is only about 8 /9 MPG. The cost will only be put onto the customers and shoppers. Excluding all taxes and 'cartel' expenses , the cost of fuel is only around 30p per litre , a  250% hike!.

  5. What's funny is this dumb email has been floating around for years...it just seems the "2 top" suppliers change...sometimes it's Mobil, sometimes shell...etc...boycotting them will do absolutely nothing...gas is expensive because the Arabs and Venezuelans i.e. OPEC control output...the idiots who play future market then set the per barrel price...which in turn translates into the price per gallon...and by boycott you of course mean not driving...after all that's the ONLY way to not use gas.

  6. same old junk mail that has been going around for years. Not a real incentive or punishment to a company. Also study the facts, oil companies and refiners have (0) zero control of the cost of crude oil, it is a world commodity trade, bought and sold on the world markets, buyers and sellers of crude oil control the market price not oil companies.
