  1. Apparently it can take a few days for the connection speed to regulate to its top speed so that is why it keeps cutting out .

  2. Try calling Virgin tech again, they don't have their call centres in India. I've noticed that some of those you talk to are very good and some aren't, if I get a poor reply I call again.

edit: Virgin tech used to shut down at 9pm, you may have to call tomorrow if not sorted.

  3. Try calling until you find someone who can speak English.

  4. try, no promises though.

    Device manager

    expand on Network adapters

    right click Wireless LAN

properties > power managment tab and uncheck 'Allow computer to turn off this device to save power'

  5. What router is it?

Have you tried setting it so it only broadcasts in wireless G or N, this can help in high wireless traffic areas(flats).

Make sure your laptop is not in a 'power saver' mode, as it will turn off wireless when not in use to save power. Right click your battry icon in the icon tray.

  6. Phone 150 and pick the option that you want to leave them then tell them and they will transfer you to a tech call centre in wales.
