Ive just used convertxto dvd.. i converted an avi movie, but can not burn it to dvd+R?

it comes up with this:. please insert a writable media.in the selected devise the burning process will start automatically.

  3. the sony cd-rw is not a dvd writer, it can only see cd's only. it can probably read dvd's ok but cant burn to them. 700Mb Limit on Cd's is not large enough for most videos of any length, DVD can take 4.7Gb/

    look up the spec of you sony CD-RW, i bet it says CD re-writable and says nothing about DVD.  If you buy a multi standard writer like listed below they usually come with NERO a powerful writing tool. check it out, im sure im right. also when you put the new drive in look at the jumper settings on the rear of your existing uniy, eg MA/SA/CA and match the new units jumper to be exact, (master/slave/cable selected) is what it stands for. :)
