  1. It's still a guitar.  The only difference is the body is larger, the neck may be thicker, and you won't be able to play as high on the fretboard.

  2. its the same guitar. but avoustic players use a different style. emphasizing more on open chords and strumming patterns over soling and complex riffs / barr chords

  3. Yes and no. Obviously the fingering is the same, but electric guitars generally have a longer neck than acoustics and better access to the higher frets. In addition, you are accustomed to boosted sustain in your electric and it may be more difficult to get similar sustain from your acoustic. Hammer-ons and pull-offs are slightly different as you try to match the volume of an electric.

But don't let this stop you. I think everyone who plays guitar should play both. Fortunately, the transition from electric to acoustic seems to happen rather naturally, and it won't be long before you're as comfortable with your acoustic as with your electric.

    Good luck!

  4. You can get equally complicated on an acoustic. There are different styles for both electric and acoustic. It is the same in terms of how you play though. Electrics are easier to play. Strings on acoustics are harder to press down.
