  1. ..ouch.

  2. Ok, seeing as its a brass nipple there are 2 things you can do.

You could try and gently tap an engineers file into the hole, you will

have to take off the handle and push the handle end into the hole

then try and unscrew the nipple using a spanner on the file.Or you

could buy a small set of easy outs, these are like woodscrews but

much harder and are threaded left hand so as you tighten them in

they should start to unscrew the nipple.Failing that, the only other

way is to drill out the broken nipple and re thread the hole.

  3. Like the cunning linguist says, it may be possible to get it out.  You should remove the carb and take it to someone with some engineering experience.  Often this will be a small garage where the "technicians" are grown up and actually get their hands dirty.

We've got one near here, who get a lot of business from people who have found out the dealers operate a "replace, not repair" policy.  If they can't drill it, tap it, re-thread it, braze, weld or solder it it can't be done.

  4. i would say the carb is shot, brass melts if welded( i found that out the hard way)you can try brazing it

  5. If the nipple is screwed into the body of the carb you could try to remove the nipple with an easy out.

    Ja.
