  1. dig it out of your p**p then superglue it back on!

  2. as parasite said, tell them it is an emergency, if they dont take time for you then you need a new dentist.  also, NEVER use super glue to install a crown.  your dentist will tell you why.

  3. Losing a crown would be considered a dental emergency.  You need that crown to be on there, so you tell your dentist office what happened and they will get you in very quick.

  4. call the dentist that you will be having an apt at and explain to them what happened. This is considered a dental emergency. The dentist should tell you to come in at what ever time and get you in.

Hope you get your tooth fixed

  5. As others have said, you can go on a "Search and Destroy" mission and look for the crown. It should pass in 1-3 days of swallowing it. It can be run through a sterilizer, as was said before. If the crown is intact and still fits well( there is usually a reason it came off), it can be re-cemented, no problem. If you cannot find it or just can't bring yourself to look, you will need something done. As was also said, be specific. Tell the appointment secretary that you have a crown missing from a front tooth. Any dentist worth his floss will get you in on an emergency basis.Good luck.

  6. This is a little more common than you might think.  If it is a permanent crown, you will want to wait for it (to pass).  I'm sure it's not very glamorous to dig through your poo but if it's a $1000 crown, it may be worth it.  We just run it through the sterilizer and re-cement it.  If it's a temporary crown, it probably would be worth the small fee to get another one rather than dig through your poo.

Also, check with other dentists.  SOMEONE will get you in without having to wait that long.  Especially being a front tooth.  A dentist with a heart won't make you go without your front tooth.  You need to get it put back on ASAP to keep the tissue in the proper place for the crown.  Otherwise the gums grow out and not only will it be sore after it's put back on but if it grows too much, it may have to be cut back.

Also, DON'T use superglue EVER!  One would think that common sense would say "don't put superglue in your mouth" but you'd be amazed at how many people do.  Many times they don't get it in properly and it's difficult and dangerous for us to try to remove it and place it properly.  You run the risk of damaging the natural tooth structure underneath the crown and could lose the tooth entirely.  You can get a temporary cement at Wal-Mart or any pharmacy to use until you can get to the dentist.

Call around, someone will help you.  Good luck
