  1. average is 16-24 hours ish.  I'd put in for that test now.  with 5-6 hours a week you sound like you could be just a couple of weeks or so off.

  2. You miss the point of learning to drive. It isn't to pass, it is to be safe.

You sound impatient and not very safe - regardless of whether you pass today, tomorrow or yesterday.

  3. everybodys different but I had 20 lessons and passed first time.

  4. There is no average and no real way of determining how long it will be before you take your test - anyone who says there is is lying! Even the Driving Standards Agency don't give a minimum or recommended amount of hours - check out their website: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Lea...

what they do say is "Those who pass their driving test have had, on average, about 45 hours of professional training combined with 22 hours of private practice"

Another reason why noone can give you a time limit, is because you have not yet taken the theory test - don't wanna sound morbid, but you could fail the theory test and you can't book your practical test until you have passed your theory.

I am also a little concerned at the fact that after 11 lessons all you have done is left turns but yet you are doing "turn in the roads" and mini roundabouts I would be questioning my instructor as to why you haven't been taught to turn right yet!

Anyway - good luck with your theory, and just keep listening, learning and practicing and when you're ready, you'll pass - there's no rush :)
