Iverangel, the one to beat in the Grade A2 450 metres flat at Oxford
Only two out of the six entries for the Grade A2 450 metres flat have won when they last raced and for the remaining it has been a while since they got to be the first one racing beyond the wire. The 450 metres flat race will be staged at Oxford on Sunday, 2nd September. Taking chances for claiming the £65 prize money are Greencroft Vieri, Pennys Awesom, Old Codger, Iverangel, American Dude and Fahy House.
One of the most promising entries for the race is a year-old pup, Iverangel. The season marks out as her debut season and the only race track that she has been active is Oxford. She penetrated into the career by getting drilled on 11th June, 2012 at Oxford over 450 metres. The training session worked during the season outing of the season as she missed the race on 18th June, 2012.
She was quick to race away and then lead for the distance that remained, landing the race in 27.88 seconds. Her speed and confidence put Shelbourne Pepsi at loss as she missed the race by a short head’s difference.
Maintaining the form turned out to be something that the R. Bicknell trained could not pull through as she failed in the very next race. After suffering a sixth position, she managed bagging the Grade A5 450 metres flat race on 8th July, 2012 at Oxford.
The year old broke into an early pace after leashing out from the fourth stall, took the middle and then was fast to lead settling the race in 27.47 seconds. Losing the race due to 2 ¾ lengths was, Aggie Jo, who made it to the other end of the wire in 27.69 seconds.
The black b***h posted a back-to-back on 26th July, 2012 at Oxford in the Grade A3 Owners Association Race. She clocked the track distance in 27.58 seconds and won by the margin of 1 ¾ lengths, but the failure in the very next race kept her deprived of the possible hat-trick.
Iverangel grabbed the Grade A2 450 metres flat race on 24th August, 2012 at Oxford, clearing the distance and competition in 27.25 seconds.
Sustaining the form in order to be the most fast when breaking from the gate will make things smoother for her.
