The Croatian international has denied rumours of a possible exit in the winter transfer window and has vowed to fight for his place.
Bayern Munich maintained their place at the top of the standings table with a win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 this past Saturday. Mario Gomez continued with his stunning goal scoring run and found the net for the 17th time
whereas Arjen Robben scored in stoppage time to hand victory to the hosts.
Olic expressed his delight on finding his form back in the game against Wolfsburg and admitted that he is fully fit and ready to perform at the highest level. The striker insisted the performance has given him lot of confidence
and he is confident of being consistent for the remainder of the season.
The former Hamburg attacker almost got his goal in the match in the dying moments of the match but the opposition defence made a goal line clearance to save the shot. The clearance fortunately found Robben and the ball ended up
in the net. Olic admitted that it looked like the ball had gone in but was eventually happy with the result.
“At first, I thought the ball was already over the line. It was very close actually, and it was a good thing Arjen was there. But I was still delighted. It's my first winning goal in a long time. I've been feeling fit for a very
long time, as was obvious from my mid-season training. I'm fit and healthy again, and I'll soon be among the goals myself,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 stated that Olic deserved the goal and that he was fortunate to have been awarded with the effort.
“It was Ivi's goal, although it'll be put down to me. He did it really well and deserves it. He always gets stuck in and gives everything for the team,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich will take on Thorsten Fink’s Hamburg SV this Saturday in a bid to maintain their lead at the top of the table. The Bavarians have won 13 of the 19 games played thus far and have lost five times.
