Why do you think a change to software testing would be good for you? If you have not already done so, it might be prudent to do the following before you firm up your decision:

1) Read up on software testing

2) Attend a short course on testing

3) Talk to software testing professionals

Knowledge of programming is not mandatory in testing, but it helps.
