  1. nope they didnt get your number plate so how do they know who you are =D

  2. What type of camera was it?

A GATSO takes the pic. from behind you, where a Truvelo can take either but AFAIK must have a magenta filter on to take head on shots.

As for your front number plate, you don't need one on a motor cycle.

It could be just coincidence that you think you were flashed and it may have been someone going the other way.

  3. ha ha o yes and its all your fault. let me ask u a question. did you get to your destination any quicker? you should not speed at all. have you seen the adverts about the child getting hit a 30mph. SHE HAS A BETTER CHANCE OF SURVIVING. its idiots like you that put us at risk especially our children. SLOW DOWN. speed limits are there for a reason.

  4. If you were flashed by a camera facing you, then no. If it was the one behind you on the left, it will probably have caught you.

  5. the internet police have now got your ip address, by now they know where you live, police will now put you under surveillance and take photos of your bike and match it to the photo from the speed camera.  i hnow this costs £100,000 to do this, but its worth it to get the £60 back on fines, sleep tight.

  6. Definatly not speed cameras need the white spaceing lines to help measure the distance and speed etc, You can only get caught by being directly infront of the camera

If a road is being resurfaced and there are no white lines then the camera will not work.

Also they have to issue you a ticket within 14 days and if they don't you get away with it

    You'll be ok

  7. chances are you were caught, you will get a fine but rather than have the points you can do a course, and its about 3 hours long you learn all about the reasons not to speed its quite eye opening actually, i done one last year.

  8. I hope so. You should get life.

  9. if the camera flashed it the front of your bike, how can they tell it was you?

bikes are not easy to identify from the front, which is why the b*stards put all the cameras to get vehicles from the rear

i think you will be ok. it was probably someone speeding on the other side, as the radar signals they work on use some kind of doppler effect as far as i know. a vehicle travelling toward the camera will give a different reading to one going away from it.

  10. most probably yes, but the camera might not of had any film in it, the film is very expensive and sometimes runs out, only time will tell if a fine arrives with your mail

  11. Cameras still flash when going towards them but you will not get a ticket.

  12. No you'll be fine I set the one off by my house on a daily basis and have never been ticketed :-)

  13. You can only be prosecuted for speeding if the camera has taken a picture of your number plate.  Motorcycles do not have front number plates.

If you were riding towards the camera, it CANNOT have photographed your plate.  Despite what some people seen to think, speed cameras do not bend round to follow you.

This is one big advantage of motorcycles, when it comes to speed cameras...

  14. i no this isnt the answer u want 2 hear but they still do flash u  on the other side of the rd if u havnt gat a plate on the front u may get away with it but if u do lets hope u learned ur lesson 2 slow dwn by speed cameras lol u can do a special course which stops u getting points then u just have 2 pay the fine goodluck anyway

  15. mm...maybe not...just because it took a picture doesn't necessarily mean that you are caught...they might have your picture, but if it doesn't catch your plate, you probably won't have problems.

  16. Yeah I reckon so

  17. no dont worry it caught two cars on the other side of the road a speed camera is designed  to capture  only on 1 side

  18. Havent you just answered your own question? You have no reg on the front of a motorbike - so therefore how the heck are you gonna get three points and a fine? How can they prove it is you if they don't have your reg plate? And how will they know who to send the letter too??!!!

  19. There is a good chance that you will. If you do get the chance of a speed awareness course ... take it.. It will make you more aware of idiots like the answerer who allow their children to play in the street.

  20. yes

  21. Gatsos photograph the rear of a vehicle as it passes going away across the road markings.  This is for two principle reasons, first it's dangerous to flash in a driver's eyes, second precisely because motorcycles don't have a front plate.  If this was facing you, it will have been snapping someone going the other way.

  22. if they got you reg number and the camera has film in it,  then yeah.  it maybe a £60 fine and three points but that depends on your speed.

  23. Yes and you will get both
