With Pujols going on the D/L, I'm looking to add Jorge Cantu (1b, 3b) ASAP.

Should I drop? a) V Martinez; b) M Cabrera, c) someone else?

My team:

C: B Molina;

1b: M Cabrera;

2b: I Kinsler;

ss: R Theriot;

3b: C Jones;

OF: G Sizemore, A Dunn, M Ordonez;

Util: J Guillen;

Bench: V Martinez, D Jeter, A Pujols (D/L?), C Crawford.

SP: R Halladay; T Hudson, E Santana, C Billingsley, G Flloyd, F Carmona (D/L)

RP: J Papelbon, J Nathan, J Soria

There's only one D/L spot, and Carmona's on it currently.

Any thoughts?

  1. Martinez might be going on D/L and his numbers are not that good i would drop him

  2. Flloyd is your only droppable player.

    How can you even think of dropping the guys you mentioned?  That's just crazy....those guys have track record of success where as Cantu hasnt been productive except for the one year in TB.  Cantu may sustain his hot streak but you dont' want to be dropping proven guys for him.

    Drop Flloyd......he's the only guy you can drop on your tream.

  3. It seems as if you have a very enviable dilema. You really don't have a bad player to drop. As much as i hate to say it, if i had to pick it would be V. Martinez. Why don't you see if you can trade two of your players for one. Even if you give a little more than you should, it would still be better than dropping any one of your players.

  4. I don't know what kind of a league you're in but you're stacked everywhere. Whoever made trades with you to get the pieces you need just gave you the ship. To answer your question it's one of two players. Martinez or Soria. Martinez 'cause he hasn't been producing and may look like he's heading in the dl for the elbow. Soria since it's looking like my bravos are going to be rotating who's going to be closer. Hope that helps.

  5. I wouldn't even think of dropping any of your hitters. That leaves 2 of your pitchers: Billingsley and Floyd. With that, you need to decide who you want more. Billingsley is a high strikeout guy with less control, while Floyd is a lower strikeout guy with more control. But make sure to not drop Cabrera, he's one of the top hitters in the league and will get hot soon, and don't drop martinez, he's one of the top 3 catchers in the league and you can't afford to let him go.
