J.M. Marquez vs. Casamayor, How will it end?

casamayor..  if the one we khow shows up then id go with him only on size as not what he was but last time out shown that he khows what he is made of after the knock down he came back

but the main thing he did not panic and used his head as the fight be 4 that i said he was  washed up but proved us all wrong.

but  JMM can be a pain in the back side for anyone ask manny

if he stays on his feet and stops being knocked down  well the

rest would be history..

casamayor has been at lightweight for a long time whereas this will be marquez's first time at lightweight. casamayor isn't in his prime but the katsidis fight showed he has something left. both are boxers but marquez is more of a boxer-puncher which means he might take more chances which could leave him open to casamayor counters and casamayor has underrated power which will be a problem for marquez. so casamayor by unanimous decision or late tko.

I think it will be close but because Marquez is smaller, i think that Casamayor will probably win. Although, Marquez is a really good counter puncher !

Kind of a toss-up. I think Casamayor will eek out the victory though unless his age starts to finally catch up with him.

I'm going with Joel Casamayor by close decision on this one.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Marquez win, but I just think that Casamayor has the stuff to beat him.  Marquez fought at featherweight for the majority of his career and only recently moved up to super featherweight and now he is moving up once again to lightweight for this fight- I think that he may be a bit out of his depth against Casamayor despite the fact that he is one of the best pound for pound fighters on the planet.  Casmayor has been a lightweight for years now and he is the current champion of the division; I think that he'll use his craftiness (and possibly dirtyness) and slick southpaw stance to his advantage to pull out a close win.  It looked like his age had finally caught up with him when he controversially beat Jose Armando Santa Cruz, but I think that may have been ring rust because he bounced back nicely in his next fight when he knocked out Michael Katsidis- and its not like it was a lucky punch because he was really boxing beautifully in that fight and was schooling Katsidis (except when he got knocked down).  It could be that Casamayor is too much past his prime to beat Marquez, but I'm banking that he'll be in top form and will show that he has enough left to be the kingpin of his division and defeat Marquez in a close fight.

Casamayor is one of my favorite fighters, but let's face it his best years are in back of him........................................

Marquez throws alot of GREAT combinations, with GREAT accuracy...................................

Casamayor was once an excellent boxer, but I just don't think he's the same, and he doesn't have the punching power to slow Marquez down.......................................

Depends on which Cas shows up. If the Casamayor from the Katsidis fight shows up, then it will be a close fight, which Cas will probably win by decision, or by late KO.  If the Casamayor from the Santa Cruz fight shows up, then it will be a decision win for Marquez, and it will be B-O-R-I-N-G! Not only that, Marquez will win every round.

i think casamayor isnt what he used to be, though i think he will want to win this fight really bad but is past his prime.  j.m marquez will take probably an easy decision, look for casamayor to fight dirty when he begins to get frustrated and probably lose some points on fouls .
