J.R. Smith, Glen Davis, Udonis Haslem: Top bench players in the league: NBA Special (Part-1)
J.R. Smith:
J.R. Smith has been playing for the Denver Nuggets for almost five years but never showed any consistency with his performance. His inconsistent performance has also damaged his position with the Nuggets which is causing him badly.
Smith, who was very athletic player in his college days, suddenly saw a backdrop in his performance when he joined the NBA in 2004.
After coming into the National Basketball Association (NBA), he changed his approach towards the game which eventually slowed down his performance. He changed his individual ball play form offensive game to defensive ball play.
His sudden defensive approach hurt him when he lost the trust of the Nuggets management. The Nuggets management decided as he should not be starting the game; instead his role as potential bench player would enhance the Nuggets performance in the long run.
Many basketball experts have also made many comments about his game as he is a very good player but lack of consistence in his game is making him more vulnerable in the league. He is free agent in this year and trying to sign a
good deal with some other team in the league. His inconsistent performance is certainly giving no chance to the Nuggets’ management to sign him again for their upcoming seasons.
Despite of being a bench player in the league, J.R.Smith still has many years ahead in his professional basketball career to improve his game. His scoring and rebounding abilities are tremendous but his inconsistence performance
is the only loop hole in his game.
Glen Davis:
The Boston Celtics’ Glen Davis is one of the toughest back-end players in the league. His strong defence has always helped him while he is still playing with great energy. He provides a strong bench support to the Celtics upfront
with his great abilities.
Davis, who has a great bonding with his all teammates, never showed any resistance to help them in any situation. His affiliation with the Celtics big three has made him additional famous. The trio of Celtics, Kevin Durant, Paul
Pierce, and Ray Allen also regard him as hard-working player in the Celtics.
Udonis Haslem:
Udonis Haslem has been playing for the Miami Heat for almost eight years and regarded as some of the best bench strengths in the league. The Heat management also knows that Haslem is certainly a talented player who has always been
proved productive for their franchise.
Last summer, when the former Cleveland star LeBron James arrived in the Heat, the Heat management made a tremendous strategy for both these players. They showed great confidence on and Haslem and James while also gave them freedom
to play their natural game. LeBron James is an attacking player and Haslem’s game is pretty defensive while on the court this combination worked out for the Heat which ultimately landed the Heat into the NBA finals.
Haslem also made a great impact when he played alongside with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh with huge force. He has always played a supporting role for the very teammate in his team. His basketball skills have earned him great name
while he also has many years ahead in his professional career to be perfect.
