JAIL... martha stewarts??

Question

ok i dont know if im going crazy or not but. didnt martha stewarts go to jail or get house arrest a long time ago.??

if so. what the heck did she do.??

cuz if she was like in jail. why would anybody want to go

to her shows on tv or anything. thats like going to a murderer's house. someone from jail.

insider trading..they needed a poster child and she was picked...spent some time in a West Virginia prison(so to speak)actually a nice setting in the countryside- minimum security .....spent time teaching the inmates,guards,and locals how to better do their house,garden etc...she spent the time only cause they wanted to make an example of her....her time was not quite as bad as your average prison inmate..she actually took it  as quite a positive thing and made some friends and vice versa!...so the government didn't prove a whole lot, except spend our tax dollars foolishly as usual!!

She was convicted of insider trading.  Yes, she did serve some time in prison.  I'm no big fan of hers but I think they were a little too tough on her.

bcuz its over our stupid government...i think what happened was...she had money in stocks or something...and someone gave her the hint to take her money out bcuz she was gonna lose money so she did...and i guess its like sumthing like that lol....and who cares...its not like she murdered someone....so everyone still loves her

Uhh yeah she went to jail a long time ago..it was something that had to do with her stocks...she pulled them early knowing they would crash or something stupid and supposedly its illegal....

ms stewart upset the established order.  as a powerful and very popular woman she posed a major threat.  i think she's great.

Martha Stewart bought a certain stock however, one of her partners in the business seemed to have figured that the stock was going to lose over a million dollars. Leaving Martha Stewart in serious debt. Martha sold the stock quickly in order to get out of the situation and whoever bought it lost money. They found out and sued her.

People still go to her show because they like her. Well I'm not a fan.

yes she did go to jail for a white collar crime, insider trading and many people do not think white collar crime is like murder... you are a bit behind the times if you just learned about this now

She was arrested, convicted, and served time for insider trading with a company that was about to lose a lot of money.  She still has an audience because she knows what she's talking about with all of the home stuff and that's all she was ever famous for.  She still has the talent and knowledge to do what she always did and her crimes had nothing to do with her career, they were an illegal side deal that went horribly wrong for her.

yep she was in prison for insider stock trading. everyone thinks it was a hard sentance for her but personally i dont think she should get any special treatment . everyone else that does it gets the same if not worse.
