Im doing a 'links and connections' themed exam

i settled into the artist and the environment.

i am the so called 'artist'....and im japanese and so im gocusin on japanese culture because it would be my environment, i got scared to think that manga is the only thing i know about.

any ideas.

any artists

any inpirations

anything

Random facts about me: i am japanese born and bred in england, i still have not managed to get myself there. i have read/talked/watched/heard about japan but not quite eperienced it all together.

  1. I know of anime & hentai, too, but the art I find gorgeous & fascinating is that of the Yakuza tattoo.

    There's so many full body suits, & different ones for women & men. They are strong statements about Japanese underground culture.

    19th century western art was heavily influenced by these men and the traditions they represent.

    Also, view zen calligraphy,  Raku ceramics, Japanese Swordsmith Matsuda Tsuguyasu.
