JBL System cutting out as if not getting enough power..whats goin on?

i have two 12" JBL p1222's hooked up to a JBL GTO601.1II Amp...when i turn it up pretty loud they cut out but the prrotect light on the amp does not come on. I also blow fuses atleast once a week

After looking up your equipment you have.

I would say you either have the subs wired at to low of an ohm load

OR

The amp is not providing enough power to the subs,because if you have your subs wired at a 2ohm load you are under powering them by about 200 watts or more.

There for you may be asking the amp to do more than it can.
