When you enter the United States as a foreign visitor, if you are travelling with others (1 or 2 more people than yourself) are you able to both go to the customs booth together?

I have heard they are pretty tough and only allow one person at a time.?

  1. If you are blood relatives (Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, Child) and live normally in the same house, they will inspect you together. Otherwise you have to go up individually.

  2. A family with minor children can go through together.  A group of adults will go through one at a time.
