I've been to 2 baby showers lately and both women got JJ Cole Bundle Me.

Here's the link.

I guess it elimates the need for blankets.

But I'm a worry freak and I worry about overheating.

If my baby is being born at the end of December, do you think it would be worth investing in one to use for the winter?

  1. My son was born last January and we loved having it!  It was a huge time saver, it was much easier to get him in and out of the seat without a coat, when we went into stores/resturants we just unzipped the top and didn't have to worry about taking his coat on and off.  When it got warmer out in the spring we bought the one that is lighter (its like windbreaker material with a think soft liner on the inside) and we loved that one as well.

And yes, there will be PLENTY of times when you will want your lil one in his/her stroller.  A sling is not always the best option.

P.S. I love the name Joel!  It is a great name :)

  2. Well my son is only 5 weeks but we have a few for winter. My sister used them on my neice and they are worth the money. They live in an upstairs apt and everytime they went somewhere her blankets would fall off and the wind and snow would blow in her little face. They are soo worht the money.

  3. i had my baby dec 16th and someone actually gave me a jjcole bundle me for free.  it was wonderful, you can zip them right up.  i used it until spring and didnt want to take it out haha.  i wish i could give you mine, but i just gave it to my sister.  new babies get cold more easily, and the bundle me dosnt let air drafts through as easy as blankets.

  4. I guess it would depend mostly on where you live and if you will have to take him out alot.  My baby was born in January but I never had to take him out when it was really cold because I wasn't working.  By March it was warm and I don't think I would have gotten much use out of it,  Especially since my boy outgrew his infant carrier at five months. When I did take him out I would just warm the car up and then take him to it which took all of two minutes.  I bought alot of baby gear that was kinda of pointless and I didn't get alot of use out of so I am holding on to it for the next baby (or my if my sister inlaw has a boy -she is due in March).  Congratulations on the baby boy.

  5. Don't be concerned, they are great. :) I didn't have the exact kind nor the same brand, but mine when over the seat but had a round opening where her face was.

I loved it. I didn't have to worry about the cold winter air blowing in her face or the blanket flying away. Her godfather always joked "baby in the hole". lol. :) too cute. :)

She won't over heat. If you are still concern but still interested, you can find a different kind/brand that has an opening in the face area.

Don't listen to the first answerer, no matter the topic, she makes a big deal out of everything and pushes her parenting technique on everyone. If pple don't parent the same way she does, we apparently, are bad parents in her eyes. (like it means anything to us anyhow. :) )

    Good luck. :)

  6. Your baby would be a thousand times happier to be carried in a sling under your own coat rather than in a polyester-covered plastic car seat. No worries about overheating that way, too, as you constantly know what temperature baby's environment is.

edit: I don't have a stroller or an infant car seat carrier...

  7. I have an 11 month old and I got it for her before I had her, and it was awesome. IF we have anymore kids, we will definitely get another one. They are easy to wash so when the baby has an accident you just toss it in the washer and your good to go. Most car seats don't have super soft fabric on them so this makes it super comfy for the baby. My daughter was born in Sept and we used it until july when I got her a convertible car seat. I would get one if I were you. With this you dont have to worry about the blankets falling off the baby while you are shopping or what not, and it just unzips if you want to take the top peice of it off. Great product!!

  8. Yes!  I have one for my little guy (born last December).  It is great for toting them in and out, especially in the wind.  As well, it zips right off and is adjustable, so if baby is warm, you can let more air in.  I would usually unzip once the car was warmed up.
