I'm not polling - I need backup and reasons why please!

I'm having lunch with three guys I work with and was told this is going to be a key topic of conversation. So I need your help - Who has had the more impressive/exciting NBA career - JJ Redick or Craig Smith? and WHY?

Need by noon today please! Thanks so much!

  1. This is almost a rhetorical question.  Craig Smith has had the better career so far.  He has played considerable minutes, played nearly every game in each of his two seasons, and could be a decent backup big man for a contender, since he is only in Minnesota...

As for Redick, he has played sparingly in his two seasons.  This is mostly because Van Gundy believes that he has four or five guards ahead of him who can do what he does effectively and then some.  Redick could've been a key 3 point specialist last season, but the improvement of Turkoglu, the key addition of Lewis, and the continued 3 point production of Evans and Bogans squashed JJ's chance for that role.  Since Arroyo and Dooling are no longer there, JJ will hopefully get some more minutes with Orlando, but I do feel that he needs to play for someone else in order to show his potential, and that prob. won't happen until 2009 when his contract expires.  A lot of Duke haters say he's already an NBA bust, but he should be given the chance to play meaningful minutes to show that he sucks in the NBA before he can truly be considered one.

  2. It's All About Minutes For These Players If JJ Can Pull Off 10-15 Minutes He Could Have Like 11 Points And 3 Assists And Craig Smith Would Have 18 Points and 9 Rebounds ( If They Were Struggling ) But If They Weren't Then i Say About 12 Points and 4 Rebounds But i Say Take A Chance With JJ Redick,

    Hope I Helped Peace!

  3. Craig  Smith. J.J definitely had the better college career but hasn't had ANY gametime in the NBA. Craig Smith is a big part of the rotation with the T'Wolves. Can't say much due to talent, just the fact the Smith gets playing time and Redick doesn't.

  4. Change the topic ASAP.

  5. C.Smith cause he is all ready playing in Minn were Redick plays like 5 mins at Orlando and I watched the T'Wolves play a couple of time and i seen him with like 20 pts and 10rbs

  6. Is this a joke. JJ has barely even played at all and Craig Smith is a solid contributer for the T-Wolves.  Go to youtube and search "jj redick airballs layup" and that will answer your question for you.  Haha but jj is an ok shooter but not good at anything else and hasn't got much PT.  Craig Smith is only 6'7 but he is probably the strongest 6'7 player in the NBA.  He is a great rebounder and defender ad can score if needed.

  7. if stan van gundy gives minutes to JJ Redick is gonna be an impressive shooter
