JL vs. Kicker vs. Memphis vs. Rockford?

which one is best, or rate them from best to worst. i personally like JL

I worked at a shop that sold Memphis and Rockford, our competitor across town sold JL and Kicker.  Memphis subs blow the Rockfords away, Memphis amps seem to be more powerful than an equally rated Rockford, but the Power Series Rockford amps are no joke!  Memhis' speakers sound better and cost less in most cases than the Rockfords.  Over all, Memphis has a better product at a better price than Rockford.  As far as JL and Kicker, I have never liked Kicker anything.  Don't like the sound from the subs or speakers, granted both are loud but the sound quality sucks.  JL's speakers sound thin and cost a grip, but their amps and subs sound very nice, just get ready to take out a second mortgage on your house to buy their products.  This is how I'd rate these 4:

1.  Memphis based on quality, sound, and better pricing

2.  JL- I'm not knocking them, but I wouldn't pay for their product when I could buy Memphis product that sounds as good or better and pay less

3.  Rockford- Subs and Power Series amps are awsome, but their more affordable Prime series amps run HOT and the speakers could sound better.

4.  Kicker- Blah.  Ya they are loud, but that's about it.

Overall, go with Memphis.

Memphis by far is the best in all aspects of car audio.  For those of you that don't know about Memphis you are missing out.
JL Audio comes in second, the make a real good product no doubt but their prices are beyond outrageous.
Kicker comes in third.  They have pretty decent subs and thats about it.
Rockford Fosgate is the one I believe to be the worst of these 4.  They can hit pretty hard if wired correctly but the clarity is inferior to Memphis or JL.
