  1. Teaching is a wonderful career - unlike many jobs you get so much back and you can see the results of your effort fairly quickly.  The relationships you make with the students/parents/community is so rewarding.  I have been teaching for 10 years and still get excited when I start a new term or a student finally gets a hard concept.  The holidays are good to!  I would say that if you are not passionate about it you may not enjoy it.  The job does require lots of prep time outside of school hours and sometimes when you are working through a problem with students it can be frustrating.  This is when you rely on your passion and you get the rewards at the end.  I would suggest that you do some work experience in a school and see if you like it.

  2. Is Jr Primary Pre-K? I'm not familiar with that, I'm a K teacher and have been for 12 years. I think depending on where you are in the country and what Jr Primary is, I could help you with some info.
