JURY DUTY - Whats the best way NOT to get picked?

OK I finally have to go to the courthouse (or I'll be arrested)... A friend of mine said she told them "I dont think I can be un-biased" and they STILL picked her for a trial, so now I'm scared. I thought about saying "I hate blacks etc." but a co-worker said they can use that if I ever look for a job.

So when they call me, what type of questions will they ask, and whats the best answers to give in order NOT to be picked?

Jury duty is your responsibility as a citizen.  If you don't want to serve, move somewhere else.

Or, you could say that you know someone who was involved in a similar case.  

Or, you could say "I think that the American judicial system is garbage."

Or, try, "I think that everyone who goes to jail for a crime is automatically guilty whether they did it or not."

I think that the latter of the three is your best bet.  And it might work better than saying you know the case because I was once on a jury for something that NO ONE could have known about (petty theft).

PS - a_wood -- everyone in America is required to serve on a jury if served.  That is part of being a US citizen.

Just go and serve on the jury if they pick you for it.  If you're not willing to do that, why do you choose to live in a municipality that requires it?

Tell them you have already heard about the case and that you have already made up your mind if the person is guilty or not.tha you would be an impartial and unfair to be used as a juror

Jury duty is a matter of luck, you can be picked or not.

Simple. All you have to say is I think O.J. did it.

If you say things like I was a victim or my relative was a victim of the particular crime  or incident you should be released. Looking unshaven, smelling bad never hurts.
