JUST FINISHED DOUBLE CROSS by James Patterson. Care to share your thoughts? THESE BOOKS NEED TO BE MOVIES !!?

I love all the Alex Cross Books - I cannot get enough and think they all could be money movie makers. Except dont let them be made by whomever did the other ones. I loved those books but didnt like the movies at all - KISS THE GIRLS and i think it was ALONG CAME A SPIDER.

Plus I just couldnt see Morgan Freeman as Alex Cross- I think of someone younger becuz he does so much plus they always say he is handsome or s**y? sorry but i dont get that from Morgan :0)

I really liked both those movies and I liked Morgan Freeman's role in them.  However, you make a good point when you say he doesn't fit the character of Alex Cross as Patterson wrote it.  In fact, in one of the Alex Cross novels, I remember Patterson referring to a "younger Denzel Washington" when describing Cross.

There was another movie I saw but I can't find anything on it so it must have been made for TV.  I can't remember which Cross novel it was but I do remember that it starred Eriq LaSalle of ER.  And, I believe he may have also directed it and possibly produced it.

LaSalle fit the physical description well enough but I wasn't impressed with his characterization of Alex Cross at all.  He down played it so much, he made the character seem dull.

Which actor do you think would make a good Alex Cross?
