JVC AV-27D305 27" TV problems?

i have a JVC AV-27D305 27" TV, and i have some problems with it. it is about 10 years old, and there is about a 2 to 7 inch black bar at the top of it, that only shows up when it has been OFF for long periods of time or ON for long periods of time. sometimes it goes away, but other times it dosent. also, below the black bar, it looks like the image is folded onto itself. if there is any way to fix this, please tell me how. it is VERY annoying when you try to watch TV.

it sounds like you may need to get a new t.v.The tube is about to go out.If you can deal with it keep on watching but it will go dark soon.
