Hi all,

I am planning to install following stereo for my SWIFT .

Head unit : JVC-AVX44.

Speakers : polk momo 6.5 component and DB series 6.5 coaxials.

DB series 12'' sub woofer.

Amp : JBL 1004

100x4 RMS

Can u people please provide me any experience about JVC -AVX44 kameleon series DVD player review.

I am very much inclined towards it because it has all latest offerings like bluetooth,USB everything and 3.5'' display.

I want to know AUDIO quality of this JVC unit. Will it give me very good performance and good AUDIO clarity ?

Looking forward for valuable suggestions.

thank you.

  1. I would get 2 separate amps..a mono for the subs and use the four channel for the speakers.

That head unit is gorgeous looking with 5 volt outputs (excellent sound quality) , but  it is a multi-media player, and only necessary for a DVD/Navigational system...otherwise you are wasting your money on features you don't need.  As far as looks go, it is my favorite on the market.  Eclipse is the only other company I have come across which has 8 volt preouts, but there aren't as many dealers.

I also would suggest infinity reference or kappa series as they have very high signal to noise ratio  (better sound quality than Polk Audio).  I was going to go with the Polks DB651, until I stumbled onto the Infinity's..I now have them installed and they are incredible sounding.  They must be amplified, and have subs for the bass.  I suggest you listen to the Infinity's and similarly priced as the Polk Audio DB Series.  I purchased my 2 Ten inch Pheonix Gold subs , box and 1500 watt 5:0:1 Pheonix Gold amp for $200 and all the wiring used and they sound fantastic.  I saved about $550.00, which can be used to get better speakers etc or navi system .  My system is crystal clear and I'm very pleased with it.
