I have a slightly older JVC GRD250 Mini DV camera. I have connnected the firewire connection. The computer and software recognizes the connection. I can begin, stop and pause the recording via firewire. However, no picture is present.
My firewire purchases was an inexpensive firewire, $6 (4 to 6 pin). I have noticed in the JVC manual they specify a certain firewire with a core filter. Again, the computer recognizes the firewire. My problem is video-- there is none!
