Question:

JVC Everio Hard Disk Camcorder using MacBook Pro?

I got a JVC Everio GZ-MG330 Hard Disk Camcorder today and I am unable to transfer the videos to my MacBook Pro. When I hook up the cord, the computer reads the camera but the file names don't seem to be compatible. How can I save the movies I take with the JVC onto my MacBook Pro?

PS. When I insert the disc it came with, it is nothing but a few pdf files. So I haven't downloaded any application that came with it.

  1. Sorry, but JVC cameras don't work with Macs. I realized the same thing when I bought a JVC camera, and discovered it wouldn't work. Macs just don't support that file format.

I suggest you return the MacBook Pro, and try finding another laptop. Preferably just as great, like a Sony Vaio or Dell XPS. I've been using a Vaio and haven't had any issues for years.
