JVC GZ-MG21U Camcorder-- Problem?

I have this JVC camcorder, that I've had a little over a year. I bought it for when my son was born last year. Only used it a handful of times.

The other day I turned it on and I had these multi-colored lines on the screen, then it shut off. It will not turn on at all. Will not charge or anything.

Think it could be my adapter? ........... Contacted JVC but they were not helpful all they said was to send it to a service department close to me plus wanted a bunch of money.

She did say prolly not my battery since it will not come in while plugged in.

Need Help please!

Hard drive camcorders do seem to be fragile!   Probably the only way you'll fix it is to send it back to JVC.
