JVC InteriArt TV switches off after 4 seconds!...

my TV switches itself off after 4 seconds.I have to switch the main standby button on and off to get it to respond, as it wont switch back on temporary, but it then does the same thing once I do it, 4 seconds, then off again.can anyone help me? many thanks :)
