JVC XV-THA5R multi-region DVD player. UK model. Made in China. I put a DVD disc in and usually have to turn the player on and off several times before the machine eventually reads the disc and loads the film up. Sometimes I simply have to give up. Once a disc is playing, the chances are that at some point through the film, it will start skipping or jumping to a point where it freezes and can no longer be watched. Strangely some films, once recognised as a disc in, play perfectly all the way through. These tend to be films recorded onto previously blank purchased dvds.Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is currently a machine that cost £350 that does not get used anymore in favour of a reliable £35 player.
