If not, then why did the Watchtower teach it in Finished Mystery p. 15?

  1. Jesus is not the Almighty God. Never in the Bible was Jesus called "Almighty God". Isa 9:6 is in the FUTURE TENSE. Jesus' name "SHALL/WILL BE CALLED" Eternal Father. So that means before that prophecy ever occurred, Jesus was not "Eternal Father"

Actually Isa 9:6 conflicts with the doctrine of the Trinity, because the Trinity doctrine states that "The SON IS NOT the Father".

Jehovah God is the Almighty God, Jesus is his Son.

  2. No, Jesus is not Almighty.. ..

The publication "The Finished Mystery" is nearly a century old; if it teaches as the questioner says then it was wrong to do so.

Only Jehovah can be described as "Almighty". The Bible uniquely applies the Hebrew term "El Shaddai" or "Almighty" to Jehovah God (for example, at Gen 17:1). It also seems rather obvious that Jehovah's royalty is always described as king, while Scriptures such as Isaiah 9:6 plainly describe Jesus as a prince to recognize his role in subjection to Jehovah the Universal King.

  3. No,he is only one of God's messenger..

  4. no.

The prophecy in Isaiah says that the Messiah "will be called" by such names as Mighty God, Eternal Father. If that were in reference to Jehovah, he would have already been known as such when the prophecy was written.

As for the books published, Jesus' original apostles and disciples had all sorts of misconceptions that were not cleared up until after Jesus was resurrected. That's why at Luke 24:25, Christ said to them:

"O senseless ones and slow in heart to believe on all the things the prophets spoke!"

Yet, even though Christ described his beloved apostles as senseless and slow to believe God's word, he previously entrusted them with the responsibility to represent him as they went through the land declaring that the kingdom of God had drawn near.

Jehovah's Witnesses are in the same position relative to Christ's arrival, as were the apostles before Christ death and resurrection.

  5. Jesus is Almighty.
