Jacek Sokulski dominates Men’s 50m butterfly prelims: Day four – Polish LC Championships
Jacek Sokulski of WKS"Ślask"Wrocław dominated the qualification rounds of Men’s 50m butterfly on day four of the Polish Long Course Championships in Olsztyn, Poland on May 15.
Sokulski stayed considerably ahead of his opponents in the single lap butterfly event and qualified into the playoff as top contender for gold medal.
With his epic pace, he sprinted his way towards the finishing wall in a top time of 24.53 seconds.
He was followed by Oskar Krupecki, who stayed 0.11 seconds slower from him over the finishing end and hit the wall for second best qualification spot by submitting a time of 24.64 seconds.
Krupecki was followed by Pawel Korzeniowski, who ended his swim in third place by clocking a time of 24.75 seconds.
Fourth finest spot of the race was secured by Jakub Jasinski, who stayed 0.02 seconds slower from his former finisher and entered the final round by posting a time of 24.77 seconds.
Jasinski was chased by Marcin Babuchowski, who suffered a deficit of 0.10 seconds and tapped the wall with an effort of 24.87 seconds for fifth position.
Sixth best spot qualification of the discipline was secured by Maciej Lewandowski, who stayed 0.19 seconds apart and surfaced on the finishing blockade with the timing of 25.06 seconds.
In the meantime, the crowd experienced exhausting efforts of Piotr Kowalik, who remained 0.09 seconds slower from the sixth best qualifying swimmer and entered the final round by clocking a time of 25.15 seconds.
Kowalik was chased by Jan Smolinski, who was only 0.02 seconds slower from his preceding swimmer and tapped the wall with an effort of 25.17 seconds.
Following that, Michal SO Poprawa secured ninth position of the event as he stayed 0.11 seconds slower and transpired on the finishing end with the timing of 25.28 seconds.
Tenth position of the discipline was obtained by Kacper Majchrzak, who was just 0.01 seconds behind and posted a time of 25.29 seconds.
Furthermore, these finalists will face each other in the playoff, where the top three finishers will receive awards and accolades for their gruelling efforts at the prize distribution ceremony of the championship.
