Could Greb repeat his sucess in sparring sessions against Dempsey?

I'm gonna be the one going out on a limb then. Based on all the research I've done and all the reports I've seen of the two's sparring sessions, I'd say Greb takes Dempsey by Decision by outworking and outspeeding him just like he did in the sparring sessions. These were no light-hearted sessions either. In fact, Dempsey was supposed to give Greb an actual matchup, and even accepted, but eventually took back what he said at the advice of his managers, who ran Greb out of camp before the cries of a possible fight got to public ears.

Greb knew Dempsey's style in and out, and made a boatload of money betting on Gene Tunney(whom Greb fought 5 times) to beat Dempsey when noone else thought it was possible.

i''m gonna go with dempsey by close decision, but if it is stopped inside the distance, it's anybody's......but i will still give the edge to jack.

Man, what a tough call, this one is just about impossible to call.  Sorry for the cop out, but it's a great match up between two of the very best.  This one is a toe to toe slug fest, complete with elbows, laces, shoulder shrugs and even hips being used as weapons.  Neither man would take a backwards step for the full fifteen rounds.  A brutal and battered draw.

As tough as Greb was i think i have to favor Dempsey...The manassau mauler had a problems with classic boxers ..ie. Tunney but against bruisers slugger his overall aggression a relentless punches would garner a late stoppage against Greb but not without him taking a shalackin and maybe even seeing the canvas twice...and sparring and actual fighting is two totallay different environments....Ali sparring partners would get the best of him but when they fought he's embrasses them then KO them
