  1. I laugh at these dempsey fans sometimes lol, first of all i do not rate dempsey much because he basically dodged half of the good competition of his time with the color line firpo and willard could not tie harry wills's jockstrap, moreover dempsey was essentially a slower version of tyson, he fought from a low stance, used a shoulder roll to avoid hits and preferred fighting on the inside and to be honest his style was exactly the kind of style that brought out the best in holyfield, in his prime holyfield knew how to fight both on the inside and the outside and especially good at handling aggressive fighters who tried to close the distance (cough*tyson*cough) and Dempsey would have been the perfect opponent for him, dempsey had heart but his style would have been tailor made for a prime holyfield moreover dempsey never faced any opponent like holyfield to this day his strongest opponent was gene tunney, a not too powerful technical fighter who was more of a light heavy weight than an heavy weight and beat dempsey twice (the second time he actually lost though) in their primes Holyfield would have won this fight in the same manner in which he won the tyson fights (head butts included). Just watch the videos on youtube and you will see for yourself that this fight is truly a mismatch for dempsey.

  2. Dempsey all the way.

  3. Dempsey would have been all over Holyfield and would have done so much damage by the third round that Holyfield would have been unable to continue or the fight would have been stopped.

  4. Dempsey would have destroyed Holyfield.  He was way too fast, too powerful a puncher and could have soaked up anything Holyfield could have dished out without much difficulty. I'd say that, only due to Holyfield's ability to absorb punishment and his huge heart, it would go about 14 rounds before he was pounded out of the ring and then immediately air lifted to the nearest medical facility.

  5. jack dempsey killer holyfield

  6. Dempsey is top 5 all-time. He takes a determined but outmatched Holyfield in the 8th round.
