    but Dempsey had a punchers chance.


     


    Unfortunately Dempsey has become that flawed part of american history that makes american men all action heroes of unswerving strength. He was undoubtably strong but the guy could get knocked over, outpointed and knocked out by fighters who werent really anything. If Carpientiers could knock him over, imagine what Johnson would do.
