you know jack nicholson is really good, but he has a style which is more or less the same in every film.

He speaks in the same tone with the same style.

Heath ledger is just so good, compare just three performances.

Jack nicholson portrayed the joker well from the comic books

however i still prefer heath because his version was much darker,creepier &  more intense :D

I think Jack Nicholson did a better version of the Joker because Heath Ledgers version is not really the Joker but The Crow (terrorist mode). If you look at the joker on a deck of cards, more often than not you'll see a jester-like man with an evil sneer. The Jokers character in the Batman series, is like that, a comical, fiendish, scheming, person.. Heaths joker is too serious and too random in his acts, lacks that sneer, so Nicholsons take on the Joker is better because up to now I can still vividly recall that evil sneer.

But heath ledger really did an intense job

And im not exaggerating because he died

But im probably gonna have to say Heath Ledger was pretty great (:
