Jack Reed says England need to word harder in upcoming match against Wales - Rugby League
The England debutant player, Jack Reed, has been in the public eye ever since he scored a triumphant try in the clash against France on Saturday,October 22, but he acknowledged while talking to reporters, on Sunday, October 23, the fact that his side needs
to put in a lot more effort in order to win the upcoming inaugural clash of the Gillette Four Nations against Wales.
Reed is one of the three debutants for the English side who have set their mark in their very first clash which ended on a sweet note with a 32-18 win against the French.
While talking about his much-talked about try during the clash, Reed said, “Gareth Widdop gave me a bit of a heads up that he was going to come back on a bit of a short play. He just zinged it out to us and, with a bit of luck, I got through eventually and
made it to the line. I've a lot to work on actually. Defensively I got caught out a fair bit. I definitely think I can improve. I'll go to the drawing board and see what I can work on. I enjoyed myself, that was the main thing and it was good to get that first
win out of the way."
Reed also added that he had to fight his way to make that try possible.
Born in England, Reeds, along with his family immigrated to Australia when he was just two. When the opportunity of playing for the English side emerged he consulted his family for their input and they all agreed on to his decision to represent the English
side. He also expressed happiness that his family and friends were able to witness his on field brilliance live in the warm-up match in Avignon. He also added that his family and friends who watched him play, loved every bit of the 80-minute action.
He is also hoping for his inclusion in the English squad for their inaugural clash against the Welsh side so his supporters can watch him play in the tournament.
