Jack Relax upsets Subway Lolo to win the 470m Grade A1 race
J B Thompson had a very good day at Belle Vue, as his trained hounds, Jack Relax and Subway Lolo, took the first and second positions, respectively, in the 470 metres Grade A1 race on Thursday, January 12, 2012. The cash prize for winning the race
was £110.
Jack Relax was the dog that finished on top. He completed the distance in 28.17 seconds, breaking in from trap number three, with a starting price of 4 to 1, and was triumphant by just a neck’s margin.
The triumphant hound is the son of Westmead Hawk out of Miggs, and was born in December 2009.
The second place was taken by Subway Lolo, the b***h that was the joint favourite to win, with a starting price of 5 to 2.
She fell short of victory by just 0.03 seconds, covering the total distance in 28.20 seconds, entering the race from trap number six.
Subway Lolo is the daughter of Droopys Maldini and Droopys Paula, born in April 2009.
Whipidewhip ended up in third place, breaking in from trap number four. He had a starting price of 4 to 1, and completed the race in 28.65 seconds.
The third placed hound, trained by K A Harris, the son of Yeah Man out of Minnies Cupid, was born in June, 2007. He was the oldest participant in the race.
The fourth place went to Bellamore Girl, who had a starting rate of 7 to 2, and completed the total distance in 28.71 seconds, breaking in from trap number five. The black b***h is trained by H Adamson.
Bellamore Girl was born in August 2008, and is the daughter of Droopys Maldini out of Longton Queen.
Bower Osprey took the fifth place by a head’s margin.
The K A Harris trained dog had a starting price of 5 to 1, and popped out from trap number one. The black dog was born in October 2008, to Westmead Hawk and Bower Bridie.
The major disappointment of the race was Westpoint Barney, joint favourite to win, with odds of 5 to 2.
He went into the race from trap number two, and only managed to clock a time of 28.81 seconds.
Westpoint Barney, trained by D J F Hampson, is the son of Droopys Scolari out of Endova Rainbow, born in November 2009.
Overall, the race was a good one, as the top two finishers fought hard against each other. However, none of the joint favourites managed to win in the end.
