Jack Rusell's large lump in Neck?

Our 13 year old jack has tumors in his bladder. Antibiotics have cleared up blood in his urine. He is old and suddenly he has a golf sized lump on the left side of his neck. Anyone have any idea as to what this might be? Maybe now his thyroid is failing? Anyone have this problem with their dog?

Could it be a swollen/infected Lymph node?

It sounds like a lymph node may be enlarged.  Your vet really needs to see him.

This is serious business.

You need to prepare yourself for possibly bad news.

I say this because of the tumours in his bladder.

and his age.

When the thyroid shuts down, it shrinks up ; it doesn't swell.

See your vet.

yes my dog has a similar problem. I took him to the vet and they determined it was just a hardened "fat lump" and its not harmful or anything. but you should defiantly take you dog to the vet just to be on the safe side.
