Jack Wilshere and Phil Jagielka delighted with the new formation - Euro 2012 news

Throughout his time with the team, Capello has favoured the 4-4-2 formation but the new plan has worked really well. Promising Arsenal midfielder Wilshere believes that the new formation has been really beneficial for the players and it gives them more freedom
to attack.
"The 4-3-3 system suits me and I think it suits the team better. There was different personnel and I think [Gareth] Barry was great and [James] Milner was great. It works well for everyone. We’re all technically good players and we can play in that position."

“The boss has played two of the same formations the last two games and it’s worked out quite well. Jack [Wilshere] carried on from where he left off at Cardiff and obviously Milner came in and did a fantastic job as well.”
The former Sheffield United man said that despite playing different set of teams in the two matches, the players looked very comfortable. He believes that the new system provided more fluidity in passing and allowed the midfielders to make both attacking
and defensive runs. Jagielka also expressed his disappointment over conceding a late goal which converted their much deserved win into a draw.
