Arsenal midfielder and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international Jack Wilshere has gone on to reveal that he feels Cesc Fabregas could be on his way back to Arsenal in the near future.
The former Gunners captain made the switch to the Camp Nou in the summers and since then many have believed that the player could one day return to the club.
At the same time, Wilshere, who has been labelled as the Fabregas replacement at the club still feels that his long term friend is in line to return to the Emirates at some point.
Wilshere, when talking about Fabregas and the possibility of him someday returning to play in an Arsenal shirt is quoted to have said: "I still speak to Cesc quite a lot. He texted me the other day after my operation"
"It [the link with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604] had been going on with Cesc for a couple of years, so I guess we always knew he would go at some point.”
"Especially this year, Cesc wanted to leave and when a player wants to leave, the boss did the right thing.
"He'd been great for us and was one of our best players for the last six years.”
The youngster then went on to admit that he could be considered as an Arsenal legend and for that reason, he would be welcomed back with open arms, should he decide to make the move back to the club.
"You'd almost say he's an http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 legend now and I think the fans would welcome him back as well."
Fabregas chose to leave Arsenal at his own will, as he stated that he wanted to play for his child hood club once again. At the same time, calling him an Arsenal legend might be stretching it, as the midfielder hasn’t really won anything with the club, or
helped them win anything during his stay with the team.
As far as his return is concerned, it seems like Wilshere is just making hopeful claims, since the possibility of him ever coming back to the North London club are slim to none.
