Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to confirm that Jack Wilshere will miss out on the upcoming Euro 2012 and won't be able to represent England, as the midfielder still hasn’t managed to recover from his injury and will require another
couple of months to regain his fitness.
Wilshere went on to pick up a knock to his ankle in a pre season game and was expected to return to the side within a matter of weeks.
However, with the injury proving to be a little trickier then it was initially assessed to be, the youngster was set to make a return to the team in January.
Unfortunately, Wilshere went on to suffer another setback, as he picked up another knock to the same ankle and this ruled him out of action for the rest of the season.
Despite this fact, Wilshere was expected to be fit in time to make the Euro’s but Wenger has now gone on to insist that the midfielder won’t be able to represent England in the summers.
When talking to the press after his side's loss to Wigan, Wenger is quoted to have said: "http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Wilshere-c17463 will not play again this season and will not go to the Euros, that's for sure"
Wilshere went on to thank all his fans for the support that they were showing him during his injury, while he went on to cheer the England squad and wished them the best of luck for the upcoming tournament.
The midfielder is quoted to have said: "He is devastated. But you can understand, because what kept him going until now is that he still felt that he'd have a chance to go to the Euros."
“I hope England can do well and bring home the cup! I will be watching and cheering the boys on like a proper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 fan!"
"Thanks for all your support! Means a lot!"
Wenger is more than likely to pay a lot of attention to the twenty year old midfielder in the summers and get him back to a hundred percent.
The Gunners can’t afford to see Wilshere miss out on any part of the coming season, since they are now in desperate need to use his creativity and will to win games in the middle of the park.
